eBay is my saviour

I have tried to use eBay before... To buy a Tamagotchi... I'm not too sure I really got the whole spirit of it though, as I was only little and I don't think I really understood the concept of money, let alone gambling it on pretty much any item over the internet. So after that day, I haven't touched it. Until last week.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I have developed a 'thing' for shoes, so I was searching Google for some orange high top trainers and somehow came across these beauties on eBay.

It was love at first sight. I think they put me in a trance and I'm pretty sure I was just sat there staring at them on my screen for about ten minutes... Now I don't know if it's just me that feels like this about them, but they are rare Puma's... and were only up for £8 including postage...

But I didn't bid yet; I has heard about this whole bidding lark and decided to wait until the last minute to put in my offer. Since it ended the next day and had already had two bids on it, I thought that was for the best.

So after spending the whole next day not being able to wait until I got home so I could spend some money, I settled down to my computer and typed in my bid. As soon as I had done so, the price rose... I tried again and the same thing happened... I waited. Those twenty minutes were the tenses ones of my life.. And then finally, in the last minute, I entered my offer and won! It was my first proper buy on eBay. Pretty successful if I do say so myself.

Animal costumes

Dressing up as animals amuses and amazes me. When I was little, my uncle apparently asked me and my cousins what we wanted to be when we were older. Sophie and Lucy obediently answered 'nurse' and 'doctor'... I said camel.

After I got my holga, I have been obsessed. At the moment, I would kill for a Polaroid camera and some film... *sigh*

Carrying lots of shopping bags, even if they aren't mine...

I think this just makes me feel like I've bought loads? I love the feeling of kicking your shoes off after walking round shops with a load of bags, and falling on a bed like your in a Premier Inn ad.

Going out for a coffee - well, the idea of it...

I don't actually like coffee, but I would feel so cool popping into Starbucks and ordering a 'Latte to take out please.'

Nottingham's Not Ready Yet...

So, on Sunday I went into Nottingham with my mum and dad. The reason? Dad was in an exhibition entitled 'Not Ready Yet'. It lived up to it's name and was quite a good concept. Some of the art, however seemed a bit invisible and... Not up to scratch..? Some was good though, but I'm not naming names!! It is at the Exchange (opposite Primark), and is held in an old shop. ooh, mysterious... Some of the rooms were locked with padlocks, and the public had to ask for them to be opened.

After we looked round a bit, me and mum went 'shopping'. Basically walked round Primark for about 5 minutes, while mum complained she was 'bored'. I only had time to buy some jeans. We also went to a really nice little cafe/sandwich/panini/coffee shop type thing called Atlas Deli, where I had a pink flavoured water (or 'Vitamin Water'):

Christmas Can't Come Too Early...

I know, I know, it's only October... but Xmas can never come too early for me and besides, Selfridges has been selling Christmas stuff since September!! :P
